We partnered with Nunavut Sivuniksavut (NS) to host a digital media training summit at their school in Ottawa, Ontario for students from across Nunavut. NS Alumni Lucy Tulugarjuk and Stacey Aglok MacDonald worked alongside students to film and edit a variety of videos as they developed their digital media skills.
Our Haida Gwaii summit brought together youth from communities across the island to develop their digital content production skills, including drone training!
In partnership with Chiefs of Ontario, Create to Learn: Stories from our Roots brought together youth from First Nations across Ontario to build their digital skills and develop knowledge of photovoice methodologies.
Our Saskatoon Create to Learn summit had 7 participants attend from 4 communties: Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation, Inuvik, Big River First Nation, & Stoney Nakoda Nation.
Our August Create to Learn summit had 21 participants attend from 11 communities: Saskatoon, James Smith Cree Nation, Beardys and Okemasis First Nation, Poundmaker First Nation, Waterhen First Nation, Yellowknife, Fort Simpson, Cambridge Bay, Winnipeg, Thessalon First Nation & Waswanipi.
Our March Create to Learn summit had 22 participants attend from 11 communities: Arviat, Cornwall, Grand Rapids, Cape Dorset, Sioux Lookout, Whitehorse, Fort Frances, Whale Cove, Arviat, Rankin Inlet & Moose Factory.
